Daniel Hermann - Camp Director

Rabbi Herrmann has been the boys head counselor for the past 4 summers and has worked in Jewish education and programming for the last 24 years. He is currently the Director of Psychological Services at Hillel Yeshiva.  As co-director, Rabbi Herrmann oversees the boys, girls and preschool divisions, supervises staff members and is responsible for the overall daily operations of the camp. 


Tamar Sheffey - Camp Director

After being a Camp 613 parent, Tamar Sheffey joined our staff for the 2010 season as Girls Head Counselor.  As Head Counselor she planned programming, scheduled camp days, worked with campers and parents and ran the Girls Camp. Tamar is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who spends her school year as the Director of Guidance at Yeshiva University’s High School for Boys (MTA). She lives in Bergenfield NJ with her husband and four daughters who are proud Camp 613 campers and counselors.

Rachel Ehrenberg - 
Preschool Division Head

Rachel will be joining us this summer as Preschool Division Head. She  has previous experience working in day camp settings, especially with toddlers. Rachel currently works as an occupational therapist at a public school in the Bronx. She works with children with disabilities in grades Kindergarten through fifth grade. Rachel lives in Teaneck with her husband and two children. Her daughter cannot wait to join as a camper this summer at Camp 613!

Gila Lamb -
Girls Division Division Head

Gila Lamb will be the Division Head
for the Girls Division this summer.
Gila has been a veteran member of
our staff as a counselor at Camp 613.
In addition, she has extensive camping
experience as a staff member in both
sleepaway and day camps. She is currently an under-graduate student at Touro College’s Flatbush campus    where she majors in Speech and Communications. She also work as an Assistant Teacher in Bais Yaakov Academy of Queens. She and her family live in Queens, NY, but spend the summers in Monsey, NY.  Her siblings
Avi and Elianna are also Camp 613 staff members and had previously been campers for many years.  Gila is very excited to take on this new position
at Camp 613 and is looking forward
to a fantastic summer!!

Ayelet Mermelstein, Medical Director/ Nurse

Ayelet Mermelstein joined the Camp 613 team this past summer as Camp Nurse. Having worked at both day camp and sleep-away camps alike, Nurse Ayelet enjoys the fun energetic atmosphere of summer camp! A Mother/Baby nurse at New York Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital, she holds a Masters in Healthcare Administration and is certified in BBLS, ACLS and NRP. Her family lives in Teaneck and her two daughters absolutely love attending Camp 613.

Yael Rosman

Yael Rosman will be joining us this summer as part of the nursing staff. Yael has previous experience working in both day camp and sleep away camp settings. Currently a school nurse in the Rosenbaum Yeshiva of North Jersey, where she has worked for the past eight years, Yael is looking forward to continuing to interact with and care for children in the fun and warm environment of camp! Yael lives in Teaneck, NJ with her family, and has a son that has been a happy camper at Camp 613. His three sisters are excited to join him this year, as well!
